If you wondered whatever happened to all the hearts that were sent to New Zealand to make quilts for the families of the miners who were killed in the Pike River Mine disaster, well I can enlighten you.

Shirley Goodwin’s blog has many pictures of the quilts she has made from the more than 8000 hearts she received!  What’s more if you follow this link you can see a video of some of the quilts.
