Jinny Beyer Give Away

As promised yesterday, here is my give away to celebrate the 5,000 visitor milestone.

Signed Jinny Beyer Pattern Give Away

Last year I was fortunate enough to visit the US and to meet Fran, a hand quilting, email list buddy. She was so kind and took me wherever I wanted to go and of course we had to go to Jinny Beyer’s Studio.

We spent hours in there and Jinny actually came in while we there. She was so friendly and helpful and she autographed the patterns I bought. So, to celebrate passing the 5,000 visitor mark I’m going to give away one these signed Jinny Beyer patterns. The one I have chosen is called “Sumatra” and is suitable for even beginner quilters and yet it looks stunning. I will ship internationally so wherever you are feel free to join in.

All you have to do to enter is to grab the RSS feed of the blog (the button at the top on the left sidebar) and leave a comment saying what colours or fabrics you would use if you made this quilt and I will choose a winner. The give away will be open for a week so that gives you plenty of time to enter.

Another give away in blogland

Janet from Quiltsalott is also having a give away to celebrate passing 500 followers! Well done Janet. So when you have finished here why not go over to her blog and enter her give away too? Her blog is really interesting and she does some stunning work. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

I would love to be able to give this to a friend…whose friends showed her a Jinny Beyer boarder that she had been given and asked Jinny to choose fabrics for it.
They are lovely but not what any of us would have chosen…she loves Jinny B so this would be a delight and maybe an answer for her.

I have signed up for your RSS feed! I love that pattern, I would probably do it in brights (orange and blue perhaps) with a white or light gray background.

  • Kay Dungavell says:

Hi I would love the pattern – I love anything Jinny Beyer. I would use rusts teals and purples probably on a black or dark slate background.

  • SewCalGal says:

I’d really love to win this pattern and make a quilt for my bedroom, in deep reds, browns, blacks, dark tans, and paisley prints with a variety of colors….or something along those lines. Great design.

I’ve also shared insight about your blog & giveaway on my site where I share insights on contests & giveaways: http://sewcalgalcontestinfo.blogspot.com/

WOW! What a gorgeous pattern, and a generous giveaway. I must admit I’ve not had the chance to peruse Jinny’s patterns, but I’ll be off to check her site now.
I would love to win this pattern from you, I would fistly do it in Greens and Purples for a wedding present to my DB and DSIL, then I’d make one for myself in ….mmmmm….I think I would have a day’s outing just to try different colour combinations and go from there.

What a priveledge to go to Jinny Beyers Studio. You are so lucky. I would make this quilt in Blues and greens with a little red and purple thrown in for good measure.
I have been a subscriber to your feed for ages.

Lucky girl going to Jinny Beyers Studio! It looks fabulous there and to meet Jinny herself would be so wonderful. I love the pattern, but then I love all of her patterns. I would do it in autumn tonings from her range of fabrics and of course I’d hand piece it a la Jinny Beyers! It would be sacrilege to do otherwise I’d say 🙂

  • Joy V says:

What a great give-away. If I’m lucky to win I would love to do this quilt in sea greens and blues with a touch of yellow.

  • Tammy says:

I have just bought some teal and brown fabrics, so I would love to make that pattern in these colours.

  • Barbara P says:

How lovely are the Jinny Beyer patterns. She always manages to get a three dimensional look with her use of colour. I would use purples, greens and blues if I were to make this pattern. I have a blue paisley fabric that I would use as the basis on which to choose the other fabrics.

  • Robin T says:

I have been a Jinny Fan for decades! This quilt would fit the bill perfectly in my foyer! I have been searching for something since I moved in 4 years ago this summer. I would utilize gold, wine, and navy. Woohoo! Love it and envy your trip to her studio!

  • Bev C says:

Lucky Jinny came along while you were visiting. It is a lovely pattern which I would probably do in red/black tones. Have a great Sunday.

  • Brenda says:

I would do it in blues and greens, maybe with a red or marron thrown in. Though i do think i would take the pattern to a quilt shop and see what fabrics grabbed me. i have never tried a Jinny Beyer pattern before. I have always admired them though.

Love, love, LOVE the pattern! I have some fabulous bali silks that this would make a beautiful quilt out of! I hope I win!!

  • Brenda Wiseman says:

I’ve always been amazed at what Jinny Beyer does with fabric. And I’ve recently realized that I haven’t ever really worked with reds, and I really like the red and black on the front cover of her patterns.

So, send it my way please .

  • Maggie says:

What a great opportunity! I have always loved the saturated colors of Jinny Beyer. This week I won a stash of Jinny Beyer Sumatra RJR fabric on eBay. The fabric was purchased in 2000 and includes a blue border fabric and about 20 pieces of deep reds, blues, greens and browns. I’ve been looking online for quilt ideas and imagine my surprise to find your blog and offer! If the pattern is still available, I hope that you will consider me. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to see fabric & pattern united? Maggie
